In the past, the djerbian mosque was the center of the spiritual and social life of the community, and at the same time, a place of worship, teaching, reception for travelers, and it assumed several various legal functions. From an architectural point of view, the Djerbian Ibadite mosques are very simple ; Flanked by staircase minarets, they are painted, entirely, with white lime. This minimalism is linked to the ibadite ethic that banishes any decorative element so that the relationship with God is as pure as possible.

in this work , i tried to revel and accentuate this minimal aspect of the Djerbian mosques architecture through the reduce of the colors palet (or the us of monochrome techniques) to match the bare shape and environment of each mosque.
