The drawings illustrate a competitive pool complex designed in collaboration with my sons swim coach. The pool was designed to be the fastest competitive racing pool, with the lowest energy and operating costs. It was meant to be lean and fast.

It was important to provide the best arrangement for training and competition as well, as provide for flexible use and excellent spectator-competitor interaction. Parents of competitors are provided with a comfortable place to exercise, watch the news or read while they wait for their child to finish a work-out. The design was ultimately used as the model for a local pool constructed for an international competition.

The series of drawings show the development of a perspective from line projection on vellum, final drawing transferred to watercolour paper (scanned before watercolouring)and the final watercolour (submitted as the main image).
