These drawings date back to 2014-2015 and represent my interests in architecture both as theory and as practice: monumentality, scale (and its ambiguity), form, relationship between image language and content, archetypes, abundance of details, massivity, time. These themes take the shape of weird architectural artefacts, deprived of any context (apart from just the horizon line in some cases), in which I try to reflect with the pencil (and with some humor) what makes the house the symbol of protection and relief, what makes the tower the symbol of power and authority, what is the language of architecture, and if there is actually a "language" in architecture and what can and must express. In few words I try to find, for myself and my future works, what makes architecture interesting or boring, charming or indifferent, and use these insights for other works, in other forms, for different purposes, event outside architecture.
