Мотив произведения - уголок старого города. Это двор здания Выставочного зала Самарского художественного музея на ул. Венцека, так называемый "Дом с атлантами". История Самары с ее драматическими событиями оставила отпечаток на старой архитектуре. Любовь к родному городу и его истории прослеживается во многих работах автора. Этот дом тоже несет в себе образы минувших эпох, здесь и опустошительный пожар 1856 года, и купеческие погромы шаек "горчишников" и революционные события 1905-1917-х годов и бело-чешский мятеж с контрреволюционными репрессиями... Этот дом и судьба города нераздельно связаны. Но никакие исторические события не отразились на этом здании так печально-разрушительно как "время перемен" 90-х годов ХХ века. Образ блуждающей бездомной собаки - это символ всеобщего безразличия и запустения.... Обледеневшие крыши и окна - холод человеческих душ, это неверие в будущее. Но несмотря на все это есть еще надежда. Величественное древо, проросшее своими корнями в саму историю России и Самары, дождется новой весны, проснется новая светлая сила и правда! Уже слышна капель, уже вот-вот зазвенят весенние ручьи!! ....

The motif of the work is the corner of the old city. This is the courtyard of the building of the Exhibition Hall of the Samara Art Museum on the street. Ventceka, the so-called "House with the Atlanteans." The history of Samara with its dramatic events left an imprint on the old architecture. Love for the native city and its history can be traced in many works of the author. This house also bears the images of past eras, here is the devastating fire of 1856, and the merchant pogroms of the "gorchishniki" gangs and the revolutionary events of 1905-1917 and the White-Czech rebellion with counter-revolutionary repressions ... This house and the fate of the city are inseparable connected. But no historical events were reflected in this building so sadly destructive as the "time of change" of the 90s of the 20th century. The image of a wandering stray dog ​​is a symbol of general indifference and desolation .... The icy roofs and windows are the cold of human souls, this is disbelief in the future. But despite all this there is still hope. The majestic tree, which has rooted in the very history of Russia and Samara, will wait for a new spring, a new bright power and truth will awaken! The drops are already audible, spring streams are just about to ring! ....
