Bergamo and vicinities. This cycle of work appeared quite by chance when, saving my travel sketches, I started using oil pastel on top of a watercolor-made underpainting. 1. Paradise. Bergamo. 2. Midday in Bergamo. (Probably, happiness is not much, exactly, as well as the sun. And all my unsuccessful attempts to reconcile myself with the autumn in advance are doomed to failure. "Elegies of wilting..." is just an inappropriate desire to give sacral meaning to the inevitable.) 3. House in the field. (Loneliness comes as a gift or as retaliation. It s someone who likes it. But it s only when you re alone with yourself that it s harder for you to lie, hide or pass something done, or, on the contrary, something never happened... Sometimes thinking about it can push a dead man - a lonely silhouette of the house in a scorched August field...)
