NEO-MALAYA’ artwork is presented using intricate pencil to ink lineworks representation with intense energy to illustrate the vision of Infrastructural Architecture and Mega-Urban Ecologies. This proposed alternative future for New Malaysia (or Neo Malaya) depicts the responsiveness of architecture towards natural landscape, cultural history, post-war nostalgia and tradition of Malaysia that stimulate progressive sustainable architecture. LOCOMOTIVE TRAIN AS LIVING VESSEL CITY Malaysia’s infrastructural systems of road, rail, power, water, sanitation and waste are cited as one of the most complex and extensive among the developing cities in the Southeast Asia region. Inspired by ‘The Walking City’ an idea proposed by Ron Herron in 1964 and Kisho Kurakawa’s ‘Agricultural City’in 1960s, our ‘Sustainable Vessel City’ explores adaptive reuse architecture by adopting and transforming locomotive into portable farming cities, bringing life and hope for the people. This project envisions the alternate future of Malaysia as the main export in farming and bio-technology, opening up the possibility of exchanging fresh products on daily basis.
