Санкт-Петербург – настоящий музей архитектуры под открытым небом! Этот город можно рисовать всю жизнь и каждый раз будешь открывать что-то новое. Жанр архитектурного, или городского пейзажа в русском искусстве зародился именно в Петербурге, задуманным Петром, как новая столица в новых формах. Пётр ценил пользу и красоту в архитектуре. Поэтому зданиям того времени были присущи соответствующие качества. Менялись стили, менялась мода в последующие эпохи, но русские императрицы и императоры всегда заботились о достойном облике города.

Для коллекции рисунков выбраны: ансамбль Смольного монастыря, Александро-Невская Лавра, Строгановский дворец и Зелёный мост, Арка Главного Штаба. Сооружения были воздвигнуты в разное время и представляют различные стили (барокко и классицизм). Как мне кажется, именно эти стили в большей степени участвуют в формировании образа города (исторической его части), они запоминающиеся знаки своего времени, позволяющие воспринимать и узнавать, как внешний облик, историю, так и неповторимую ауру Петербурга в целом.

St. Petersburg is a real open-air museum of architecture! You can draw this city all your life and discover something new every time. The genre of architectural or urban landscape in Russian art originated in St. Petersburg, conceived by Peter as a new capital in new forms. Peter appreciated the benefits and beauty of architecture. Therefore, the buildings of that time had the appropriate qualities. Styles changed, fashion changed in subsequent eras, but Russian empresses and emperors always took care of the decent appearance of the city. The following are selected for the collection of drawings: the ensemble of the Smolny Monastery, the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, the Stroganov Palace and the Green Bridge, the Arch of the General Staff. The structures were erected at different times and represent different styles (Baroque and classicism). It seems to me that these styles are more involved in shaping the image of the city (its historical part), they are memorable signs of their time, allowing you to perceive and recognize both the appearance, history, and the unique aura of St. Petersburg as a whole.
